Ok, when I started this instagram account I promised to share even the failures. This goes into that category. The soldering didn’t go well this time either. The solder melted and attached to the kettle, but didnt get drawn into the gap. Maybe pulled the ferrule to hard against the surface with the tool? What do you think? So now I have a lot of filing and sanding to do before I can try again. Making a tool for holding the ferrule while soldering. This will be the connection in my small brewsystem to use the same heating elements between the kettles. Doing some metalworking. Thinking of doing another test with soldering some stainless steel. This time I think I will be using MAP-gas. Working with the audio in OBS and discovered that I couldn’t use my Motu 828mk2. Installtion of the drivers went ok and is the OS everything works as it should, but no audio in OBS. I found others on the net with the same problem, so it is a known issue. But then I found a program called Loopback from Rogue Amoeba that solves the issue. Here are my two types of camlocks. You can clearly see that it is different profiles. I had no idea that it wasnt the same on all camlocks. The one bought in sweden is the one on the left and my ebay-camlocks on the right. The swedish female version is almost impossible to connect to the male china version.
