The failure continues. This time I used the kit that brewhardware.com sells. Solder with 6% silver and liquid Stay Clean flux. This solder melted much earlier. But still forms drops instead of being drawn into the gap. I cleaned with acetone, rugged the surfaces, applied a good amount of heat around the spot before heating the ferrule, and still no luck. Now it is ok for You to tell me to give up!!! 😎 Not that I’ll probably listen. But damn!!! 🤠 Ok, not my proudest moment, but as I said I will share the failures as well. Hopefully someone can learn something from it.
